Formula E's decade of evolution: Season 10 marks a milestone
Last season's Gen3 debut brought thrilling racing, won by Jake Dennis. With a strong grid and global events, supported by Diriyah Company, expect more excitement ahead.
This year, Formula E celebrates a milestone many detractors thought it would never see. The dawn of Season 10 is a big thing for the world’s first, and foremost, all-electric championship.
For the last decade, Formula E has written its own rules, redefined what can be done in motorsport, pushed boundaries and brought top-flight racing to the people in city centres across the globe.
Last season brought a number of firsts for the championship, with the debut of the striking and considerably more powerful Gen3 cars. Such a shift in technicality was always going to bring some problems, but Formula E still delivered a thrilling title battle eventually won by Britain’s Jake Dennis on home soil in London. The fact the Envision customer team also beat the works Jaguar team to the teams’ title also emphasises just how level a playing field Formula E is.
Who truly knows what the second year of Gen3 will bring. But with a grid stacked with talent, and a calendar bursting with prestige events across four continents, you can bet on drama at every turn.
This special preview of the upcoming season has been made possible by our partner, Diriyah Company. It’s support has also given us scope to explore the wider world of racing in Saudi Arabia, from the growing domestic scene to the arrival of Formula 1 in what is fast becoming a hub for global motorsport.
