The legendary Roger Penske is our latest Royal Automobile Club Talk Show podcast guest, and here’s your chance to ask him your questions
The term ‘motor sport legend’ can be over-used, but it applies absolutely to our next Motor Sport podcast guest. We’re very excited to announce that Roger Penske will be joining us for the upcoming Royal Automobile Club Talk Show, and now is your chance to put your questions to ‘The Captain’.
He’ll also be attending the Royal Automobile Club for ‘an evening with Roger Penske’ with the Penske PC23 to be displayed in the rotunda of the Royal Automobile Club. Penske will be joined by Dario Franchitti and former Motor Sport journalist Simon Taylor.
Penske’s cars are synonymous with routine success across American racing series, bagging no fewer than 14 USAC, IndyCar and NASCAR drivers’ championships, in addition to 17 Indy 500 victories. The success continues to the present day, with Joey Logano winning the latest NASCAR Cup series championship, Will Power winning the latest Indy 500 as well as Josef Newgarden bagging the IndyCar crown the year before, which itself followed Team Penske filling the top three places in the 2016 IndyCar Series.
Penske also has had sports car success with seven drivers’ championships won across ALMS, Can-Am and USRRC. He even tried his hand at Formula 1 in the mid-1970s, and did so credibly as with John Watson at the wheel he won the ’76 Austrian Grand Prix. Penske remains the last American team to win an F1 race.
So there’s plenty to explore with him. And you can simply submit your questions in the comment section below.
