The Coupe d’Ostende voiturette race was held three times on the roads to the west of the Flanders town. Giosue Giuppone of the all-conquering Lion-Peugeot équipe won the inaugural race in 1909 after Joseph Collomb’s gallant Corre-la Licorne overturned. Lion-Peugeot’s run of voiturette success ended at Ostend in 1910 when Georges Boillot was beaten by Paolo Zuccarelli’s Hispano-Suiza. Boillot gained revenge a year later as the race was held for the final time.
