The Black Falcon Mercedes squad of Khaled Al Qubaisi/Jeroen Bleekemolen/Patrick Assenheimer/Manuel Metzger claimed pole ahead of the Lamborghini of Mirko Bortolotti/Christian Engelhart/Rik Breukers/Rolf Ineichen/Mark Ineichen. The Brendon Hartley-led Herberth Motorsport Porsche starts third ahead of the Optimum Audi R8 LMS.
