Nobody knows the secrets of winning at Le Mans better than Tom Kristensen, and we are offering an exclusive chance to hear from the legendary nine-time race winner ahead of this year’s endurance classic.
In partnership with Scalextric and Classic & Sports Finance, Motor Sport is hosting An Evening with Tom Kristensen in London, three weeks before the flag drops at Le Mans in its centenary year.
This year is already promising to be one to remember. The biggest top class field in years features entries from Ferrari – back at the top tier after an absence of half a century – Porsche, Peugeot and Toyota, with a new dawn of sports car racing set to truly blossom.
Kristensen will be looking ahead to the race, as well as speaking about the greatest moments in the history of the endurance classic and taking questions from the audience at IET London on May 17. The former Audi, Porsche and Bentley driver will also signing copies of his book Mr Le Mans.
For a small group of guests, this will be followed by the unique opportunity to have dinner with Kristensen at Smith & Wollensky in Covent Garden. Ticket numbers are restricted and stocks are limited.
The build-up to the 2023 race will see event partner Scalextric showcase its upcoming special edition Le Mans slot car releases to mark the centenary. These include the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 which finished sixth in 1975, and that year’s winning Mirage GR8 that carried Derek Bell to his first Le Mans victory, alongside Jacky Ickx.
