2024 Le Mans 24 Hours full entry list

On Saturday 15 June, 62 cars will roar past the French flag to take the start of the Le Mans 24 Hours, in search of victory in one of racing’s greatest spectacles. Behind the wheel — and nervously watching in the pit garages will be the 186 drivers who make up the 2024 Le Mans entry list.

Fighting for overall victory will be the 23-strong Hypercar field, made up of nine different constructors. Among the drivers are leading names in sports car racing, including including Ferrari’s defending champions James Calado, Alessandro Pier Guidi and Antonio Giovinazzi, as well as champions in other top-level disciplines — such as Jenson Button from F1, plus Alex Palou and Scott Dixon from IndyCar.

Last year’s win for Ferrari came 59 years after its last overall Le Mans victory, but defending it won’t be easy against an in-form Porsche, which has already secured endurance wins in Daytona, Qatar and Spa this year — the latter coming courtesy of customer team Jota. Toyota won’t be a walkover either, having won five of the last six Le Mans 24 Hour races and a win in April at the 6 Hours of Imola.

Further back, the LMP2 and LMGT3 categories look set to be tightly contested as usual. Each of these teams must include drivers with a range of racing experience and ability, as judged by racing’s classification system, which ranks drivers from bronze (least experienced) through silver, gold and platinum (most experienced and successful in recent seasons). LMP2 crews must include at least one silver or bronze driver. LMGT3 teams must include at least one bronze driver, plus another bronze or silver driver.

The stage is set for three hard-fought battles for victory. Here are the combatants:
