Ferrari reveals F1-75 at Maranello ahead of 2022 F1 season
Ferrari has unveiled its new 2022 Formula 1 car - the F1-75 and a return to black and red livery
The 2022 Formula 1 launch season is reaching its latter stages ahead of next week’s ‘shakedown’ test in Barcelona, but today’s reveal is set to be one of the most significant: Mercedes‘ brand new 2022 car, the W13. You can watch the unveiling live via the link above from 9am, with other time zones listed below.
The reigning constructors’ champions will be looking to take a ninth consecutive title with the W13, as well as either team newcomer George Russell or likely iumbent Lewis Hamilton claiming the drivers’ crown from 2021 winner Max Verstappen.
It was suggested that Hamilton would only continue in F1 if the FIA made changes to its race directorship, after a controversial safety car call led to him ceding the race lead and championship to Verstappen at Abu Dhabi last season. However, following the removal of race director Michael Masi, as well as other procedural changes and recent social media posts by the team, all indications are that Hamilton will indeed continue for a sixteenth consecutive season in the world championship.
After running a black livery for the last two seasons in recognition of the BLM movement, Mercedes has stated it will revert to the traditional Silver Arrows scheme this year – what the blend will exactly be though, which will also include the red of the team’s part–owner Ineos, remains to be seen.
The live stream of the Mercedes unveiling starts at 9am GMT, which you can watch via the link at the top of this page. The times to view wherever else you are in the world are below.
