The next Formula 1 race is the 2024 Mexico City Grand Prix: the latest in a record-breaking 24-round calendar. Maybe it’s just as well that the 2024 F1 schedule is longer than ever, given the current unmissable season, with seven drivers recording at least one victory so far this year.

The action continues this weekend on the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, which hosts the second race in an all-American triple header — ending in Brazil. A trip to Las Vegas followed by two races in the Middle East will round out the season.

Max Verstappen still has a commanding lead in the drivers’ championship, so rivals are running out of time to rein him in. But there’s still a battle for the constructors’ championship, and individual race wins.

When is the 2024 Mexico City Grand Prix?

The Mexico City race weekend will start on Friday October 25, with two free practice sessions. Another free practice session and qualifying will take place on Saturday October 26 and will be followed by the Mexico City Grand Prix on Sunday October 27.

The Mexico City Grand Prix is held just minutes from the city centre at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez — an ultra-fast yet small circuit which challenges drivers and offers plenty of overtaking opportunities.
