The London Concours at the Honourable Artillery Company HQ has opened today; the first major car show to be held in Britain since February.

Organisers were given permission to stage the event with alterations made to ensure safety for all those attending, including a revision of hospitality and ticketing systems as well as an expansion of the event grounds.

Held over Wednesday and Thursday, tickets are available for morning and afternoons on both days, while the grounds the Concours is staged on has been expanded to allow for extra space.

Over 100 vintage and historic cars are on display over the two-day event, with a collection from iconic manufacturers such as Jaguar, Ferrari, Lotus and Aston Martin.

A range of categories celebrate different aspects of the automotive world, including racing achievements, historic manufacturers and racing culture.

Ferraris such as the F40 and 1974 Dino 246 GTS are just two of the cars on show from the Prancing Horse, along with cars representing other Italian marques on the five-acre greens.

A 1977 Lamborghini Silhouette and ’65 Lancia Flaminia Super Sport further celebrate iconic Italian design and innovation while the likes of the 1976 Jaguar XJC owned by famed automotive designer Ian Callum and a ’61 Aston Martin DB4 II puts British engineering on display.

Visitors to the event won’t just be limited to viewing the automobiles on display. Those in attendance will also be able to browse a number of shops on site, including watches from Montres Breguet, fine art as well as food and drink selections delivered by Searcys and Veuve Clicquot champagne.

“In what’s been a difficult year for all of us, we’re so happy to be able to bring together this incredible collection of cars for our visitors,” London Concours director Andrew Evans said.

“This line-up would stand its ground against any automotive event the world over and, when paired with the beautiful historic setting they’re displayed in, it creates one of the most enticing days out in the whole of the UK.

“Thanks to our partners, including our Presenting Partner, Montres Breguet, and the thousands who have already bought tickets we’re able to deliver some much-needed escapism for the nation.”

Tickets will not be available to buy on the door but e-tickets can still be purchased online for the morning or afternoon of either day.
