Three-time BTCC champion Colin Turkington talks about his bid for a record-equalling fourth title in the latest podcast at the Royal Automobile Club
Colin Turkington is the current British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) champion, and a veteran of 15 seasons. In that time, he’s won 48 races and three championships – in 2009, 2014 and 2018.
He tells Motor Sport features editor Simon Arron and BTCC commentator Alan Hyde how he’s now targeting a record-equalling fourth championship by looking for an edge wherever he can, including with self-taught positive psychology.
In the latest Talk Show at the Royal Automobile Club, he describes how he’s been chasing marginal gains since he began racing as a teenager by furiously polishing his first racing car – a Metro – and removing a wing mirror to make it as aerodynamic as possible.
