Gruppe See Porsche posters
Remember the time when Le Mans prototypes were uncluttered, relatively mechanically simple and privateers could actually win with them against the works cars? We sure do, and perhaps there’s no better example of all three of those attributes than Porsche’s glorious 956/962 models. Whether it was racing through the night at Le Mans, across the bumps of Sebring or the twists of the Nürburgring, if you had a 956 or 962 beneath you, you’d likely be in the mix at the front of any given Group C grid.
And the cars also gave rise to some of the most memorable liveries in motor racing history. Now, thanks to Gruppe See (see what they did there with the name…) you can celebrate a whole bunch of them with this new range of art posters.
Produced on fine cotton paper and available in either A3 or A2 sizes, each pairs a striking front-end image of a famous 956/962 with a retro-style background to accentuate the design. Take your choice from the Skoal Bandit-backed car that led Le Mans in 1984 before finishing third, the wonderful Jägermeister Brun 962, the low-downforce Kenwood car from Le Mans 1988 or the Canon 956 that was victorious at both the 1984 Brands Hatch 1000Kms and in the 1986 World Sportscar Teams’ Championship with Brun.

Williams Championship certificates
Another off-the-wall offering, literally! Our friends at Hortons Books have managed to get their hands on a few genuine Williams Formula 1 World Championship certificates, usually only handed out to staff working on the Grove team’s operations to celebrate success in the Constructors’ Championship. There are four available, marking triumphs in 1993, 1994, 1996 and 1997 and all were originally awarded to race engineer John Saxton. Each includes a thank you message and illustration of the winning car.

Signed Shelby cheque
Here’s a collectible you don’t see very often. Shelby American is one of the founding fathers for American motor racing, with the team’s cars and drivers taking on all comers on both sides of the Atlantic. This authentic retro cheque carries the authorising signatures of Shelby’s chief engineer Phil Remington and racer John Morton, who began working for Shelby to save cash to start his own driving career. It went well too, with Morton scoring two class wins at Le Mans, in 1984 and ’94.

Mercedes 300 SLR Print
Artist Simon Owen has released a new line in fine art prints, each focusing on key details of some of the most important racing cars in history. And, for us, they don’t come much more significant than the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR that Stirling Moss and our own Denis Jenkinson piloted to victory in the 1955 Mille Miglia. Each design is limited to 100, numbered and measures 30.6×26.7cm.
