On August 21/22 Gooding is also Stateside for its Pebble Beach sale, which includes a 1948 Ferrari 166 Spider Corsa (POA), a 1932 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Sport spider (930,0001.4m) and a 1931 Duesenberg Model J known as the Whittell Coupe (POA). This car is widely regarded as one of the most valuable Duesenbergs in existence.
Not to be outdone in the Steve McQueen stakes, Gooding has consigned the actor’s 1931 Brough Superior (£62-125,000) as well as 15 very interesting Ferrari show cars. Included are a 1957 410 Superamerica Series II coupe by Pinin Farina, a 1953 375 America by Vignale and a 1950 195 Inter by Touring. Estimates are available on request.
