Brooklands track squares for sale

Supporters of the Brooklands track are being invited to buy custody of a square yard of the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit. More than 2000 separate square-yard sections have been released to raise funds to help further the development of the Brooklands Museum.

In the ‘Banking on Brooklands’ scheme, strips of banking, containing 33 square yards, have been named after circuit founder Hugh Locke King and star drivers John Cobb, Sir Malcolm Campbell and Sir Henry ‘Tim’ Birkin.

Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson and James May, along with museum trustee Tiff Needell, have already bought squares of the famous track.
