With no British Touring Car races since last month, the top four stay on the same points. Scott is now tied with Thompson, however, after a third-place finish in the two-hour enduro at Donington Park on July 19. The race there followed a bad weekend at Snetterton on July 4/5, where the Viper he shares with gentleman driver Craig Wilkins was blighted by a lack of grip.

Short has also moved up the standings thanks to the lack of BTCC action and following two third-place finishes at Snetterton and an eighth at Donington. But he is unlikely to move much further up the standings as there are three BTCC races in August at Snetterton, Knockhill and Silverstone on the 2nd, 16th and 30th respectively.
