Hot Chevron pairing are simply mustard

Dijon Historic Grand Prix

Jon Minshaw and Martin Stretton bagged another endurance success at a former French GP track when Dijon hosted its annual historic event in mid-July. They guided the former’s Chevron B16 to victory in the three-hour race, to add to their existing Spa Six Hours title.

An engine fire put the B6 of Simon Hadfield/Michael Schryver out of this race, but Hadfield’s team enjoyed success with Frank Sytner’s Brabham BT4, Frank and Schryver sharing the car to secure a Pre-1965 HGPCA win apiece. Phil Walker won both Pre-1961 races in his Lotus 16.

HGPCA drum-braked sportscar wins were taken by John Clark’s Cooper Bobtail and Tony Bianchi’s rare Farrellac Allard, while Allen Lloyd was a double winner in his Lola T70, scoring a brace of European Sports Prototype Trophy victories at the expense of Pau winner Carlos Barbot in another Mk3B.
