VSCC Trophy race meeting

Important forthcoming VSCC fixtures include the Hawthorn Trophy race meeting at Silverstone on August 26, which features, apart from racing cars up to 1960, an aerial display of WWII aeroplanes to commemorate the Battle of Britain (what happened to the Vintage Aeroplane Club?), together with a pre-war Aston Martin race and a paddock display of 100 years of grand prix cars. First race is at 2pm, admission £10. On 3 September the VSCC will hold its speed hillclimb at the popular Loton Park course near Shrewsbury, and on the 17th the quieter but no less appealing driving test meeting at Madresfield, near Malvem.
