GT40 VS TVR at Spa

Belgian sportswear veteran Jean ‘Burleys’ Blaton heads the 90-car entry for Motor Classic’s Six Hours of Spa on September 6/7 in his Ford GT40, but Britons Joe Ward and Chris Conoley are out to win the battle of the Ardennes for the third successive year in the former’s similarly-powered TVR Griffith.

Twice Le Mans 24 Hours winner Gerard Larrousse drives another TVR, but the speed and consistency of Michael Schryver and Simon Hadfield in the Chevron-Lotus B6 (which led last season’s event convincingly until transmission problems intervened), may yet prove decisive.
