Cordial Welcome
Sir,
Circulating in Britain are an increasing number of America’s finest cars, the remarkable front-drive Cords produced in the 1936 and 1937 model years. I’ve added to the population with the importation last year of this 1937 Cord 812 Beverly saloon.
Remarkably enjoyable to drive, impressively sporty and advanced for their era, these Cords also benefit from specialised technical attention. Thanks to the American ACD Club, ample information on their needs is available. But Cords in Britain also appreciate practical help on the ground.
With the aims of information sharing, parts sourcing, servicing advice, social gatherings and general appreciation of these remarkable cars, I am starting a Cord 810-812 UK Register. Thus I invite any past, present or intending keeper of one of these great cars to get in touch with me at this address. Any and all news and information about these Cords in the UK will be gratefully received.
