Bob Anderson

It is with regret and sadness that we have to record the death of 30-year-old Bob Anderson, who died as a result of a crash while carrying out some testing at Silverstone on August 14th. Anderson was one of the few men who was courageous enough to sink everything he had into a Formula One car and who had the ability to prepare and maintain it himself so that he could go Grand Prix racing. Coming from the ranks of the racing motorcycle world he graduated through Formula Junior and became one of the few drivers who made a success of a private Grand Prix venture, his cars always being meticulously prepared and immaculately turned out.
