Private Cars and Trailers.

Private Cars and Trailers. Automobile Association, in a

a case recently heard at Southam, (Warwickshire) successfully defended a motorist charged with driving a motorcar with a trailer attached, at more than 20 miles per hour.

The A.A. solicitor contended that no offence had been committed as the speed limit had been recently raised, to 30 miles per hour by the Minister of Transport.

The Clerk to the Court stated that he had not received the new regulation, which apparently had, not been printed at that time, and accordingly the Court adjourned the summons.

At the resumed hearing the Bench dismissed the case and awarded two guineas costs against the police.
