Wales ready for new track
A new top-level racing circuit has been proposed for a site in South Wales.
Plans for the £300 million facility were revealed last year and the group behind them, the Heads of the Valleys Development company, says formal proposals could be submitted to the local authority before the end of this year. It has ambitious intentions and would like to attract series such as MotoGP and the World Touring Car Championship.
If the plan reaches fruition, the circuit will be built on the Rassau Industrial Estate near Ebbw Vale, approximately 30 miles from Cardiff.
