Croft Nostalgia to be repeated

The inaugural Croft nostalgia weekend has been hailed a success, with more visitors than expected at the North Yorkshire track for an event that mixed four decades of historic racing with themed displays and entertainment.

“This event has really captured the public’s imagination – it was a fantastic turnout, far bigger than we’d anticipated for a first event,” said circuit manager Tracey Morley. Star names from Croft’s racing history in attendance over the first weekend of August included Andy Barton, Jimmy Blumer and Tony Sugden. Plans are already being made to repeat and expand the event in 2011.
