East African Safari retro draws famous names

Four-time winner Björn Waldegård is among entries for a recreation of the East African Safari Rally in December 2003, marking 50 years of the rally.

The 1979 champion will drive a Porsche 911 in the 3000-mile event, 1500 of it competitive, through some of the most rugged landscapes in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Other notable entries include Michéle Mouton (Ford Escort), and ex-sportscar driver Ray Bellm and Le Mans-winner Jürgen Barth in two more 911s.
