Remember Pau?

Sir,

I am delighted you plan to do more ‘circuit tests’.

I have been visiting continental circuits for some time now and your articles, with their photos make these visits much more interesting and informative.

I hope that you will include Pau in the next batch of circuits. Although I don’t think it was ever used for a Formula One race, Jim Clark certainly did race there, which is good enough for me.

I recently visited this circuit, which the town obligingly mark on their street plans. It is very similar to what Monaco must have been like before all the high-rise development.

The actual circuit is also amazingly similar to Monaco with an uphill climb to the Casino Square followed by a very tight downhill section to the harbour/train station and main grandstand.

I am, yours, etc. Edward Atkin, London
