USA adds new blood in Formula One
Chris Bender became the first American national to enter the Motor Sport-supported FIA Thoroughbred Grand Prix Car Championship at Donington Park on September 4-6. After stalling on the grid, the Reno, Nevada-based driver —who was born in Britain, where his father was stationed — drove his ex-Derek Daly Guinness March 811-6 to 10th place.
