Starkey covers the technical facts minutely, but lightens this with much verbatim personal recollection from drivers, builders and team personnel, including Norbert Singer, Porsche’s development engineer, drivers John Fitzpatrick and Nick Faure, and tuner Erwin Kremer. Pictures are comprehensive, if variable in quality, but the real strength is the chassis-bychassis record of RSR and 3-litre RS cars. G C
