Resurrection

Sir,

A friend recently popped through my door a copy of MOTOR SPORT from April 1992 showing C J Hamilton’s Invicta on the start line at Goodwood in 1955. I was very pleased as I now own the car. When I was six years old I used to play in the car — it was left under some trees at a big house in Locks Heath, Hampshire. 30 years later it was given to me, and it arrived at my house at Easter this year.

I enclose photos showing the car as it was on Good Friday when we dug it out of the garage where it had been for 12 years. I have nearly restored the rolling chassis and will soon be ready to start on the bodywork.

I am now trying to find out the history of the car before 1960. Can any readers help?
