Advice Required

Sir,

Liking cars of character but being of relatively slender means, I am contemplating acquiring a Rover P4.

Unfortunately, I am experiencing some difficulty in obtaining the necessary information relating to general reliability and running costs, the availability of spares, particularly service items such as brake parts and exhausts and also the ease with which the rust prone front and rear wings can be satisfactorily repaired or replaced.

I would be very grateful, therefore, to hear of the experiences of fellow readers who have recently owned 95, 100 or 110 saloons.

PS. Could anyone settle an argument over the year in which Rover ceased to produce the P4 with alloy bonnet, boot and doors? I have seen in print the years 1959 and 1963.
