Is it possible that the ” Volume ” is the Cadillac? 1 make the suggestion with great diffidence and only because the identification of this car appears to have eluded your readers so far. My idea is based purely on the fact that 27 years ago when in Detroit I stayed
in an hotel, one of the largest and best-known in the city, called the ” Book-Cadillac.” Substituting ” volume ” for the first element of this double-barrelled name and omitting the second element would appear to provide a solution indicating ” Cadillac,” but I only offer it for what it may he worth.
