Tour de France

Just as we close for Press the results of the Tour de France were announced. In the Touring category the Ford Mustang of Peter Procter and Andrew Cowan won, followed by the similar car of Peter Harper and David Pollard. The normally all-conquering Jaguar 3.5 was relegated to third place, this car being driven by Constén and Le Guezec. In the GT category the Ferrari GTOs proved to be more durable than the A.C. Cobras, with Bianchi/Berger winning from Guichet and de Bourbon. The failure of the Cobras means that the GT Championship goes to Ferrari.
