Sir, Your description of a run made in a 21-litre Lagonda in last month’s issue is of
interest. I feel, however, that without speedo
meter corrections it is rather misleading. The Autocar found, by their very reliable fifth wheel method, that the speedometer of this model was well over 10 per cent. fast at the higher speeds. When will owners refuse to be hoodwinked by optimistic speedometers fitted all too frequently as a matter of policy ? I am, Yours, etc., Edenbridge. noon HUNTER.
