READERS’ OPINIONS OF THE B.B.M.
Sir,
In 1933 Mr. H. N. Charles produced two ears made mostly of standard production parts ; these cars cost about 12,000 complete, were completely reliable and one in the hands of Col. Gardner is still functioning, as everybody knows.-M.G. 1,100 c.c., six-cylinder: 240 b.h.p. at 8,000 r.p.m., 32 lb./sq. in. boost, speed 165 m.p.h. with wheels outside body, 206 wheels inside body.
If we are going to produce a National Car surely we should use the one great national racing genius that this country has produced? I am, Yours, etc.,
Henley-inArden.
