AN EXCITING CAR v. MOTOR CYCLE DUEL.

At the recent meeting of the Southport Motor Club,

C. Needham, on his Brough-Superior, put up the fastest time of the day in the motor cycle section, equalling that of Major H. 0. D. Segrave on the Sunbeam racer. Great interest was aroused in the tie between these two, which was won in fairly easy style by Needham, Major Segrave was successful in winning the Dunlop Cup, the James Trophy for the Ten Miles race, and the Southport Motor Club Challenge Trophy.
