History repeating
The result of this year’s Goodwood TT Revival race reminded me of the May 1963 edition of Motor Sport — I spent all my pocket money on that very first purchase of your excellent magazine. The Pictorial Review in the centre of that issue showed, side by side, photos taken at the Le Mans Test Day of the Aston Martin DP212 and the Lister Costin LM Coupe, the cars that finished first and second in the TT (the Friedrichs Aston Martin is a recreation, but I won’t spoil the story). I enjoyed the coverage of the Revival meeting on the Goodwood website having stumbled upon it purely by accident. I had a crash course in live streaming, HDMI cabling and buffering at the hands of my son, but my wife and I were thence occupied for much of the weekend.
