An excellent Bentley book
The DNA of Bentley – Rich Heritage, Challenging Future by Richard Feast (Motorbooks, ISBN 7603 1946 4, £18.99) covers the entire history of Bentley cars with 129 magnificent illustrations, including paintings and head-and-shoulder inserts of personalities associated with later developments, on top-quality art paper. (Riley people will find one of these cars used to depict a typical French road.)
Many of the photos of the vintage years one has seen before, but Feast takes his story from then right up to Bentley winning Le Mans in 2003, as a shot of the car heading the parade along the Champs Elysées the day after recalls.
A wonderful feast, a modest price.
