There are very few Formula One world champions capable of writing a book like this. But Phil Hill was always much more than just a racing driver. As a knowledgeable motor racng ehtusiast, America’s first F1 champion puts his expertise to the best possible use as a star contributor ro US magazine Road & Track. This attractive volume was born from his original articles.
Hill track-tests the great Ferrari sports-racers from the 1950s and ’60s, some of which he raced himself during a remarkable career. For contrast, he also tests a 333SP from the ’90s. Hill’s intelligence and special insight into Ferrari makes for great reading and the photography of these beautiful cars is superb. Yes, it’s another Ferrari book (see left), but a special one nonetheless. DS
