Lacking savoir flair

Sir,

I have just returned from the Le Mans Classic and have two observations to make on items which blunted my enjoyment of this event.

First and foremost was the position of the spectators: we were simply too for away from the action.

My second complaint concerns the petty French officiousness, which seemed to be geared towards making life as difficult as possible for the spectators.

You only have to look at Goodwood to find the answers to layout and attitude.

I am, Yours etc,

Nigel Hart, Hildenborough, Kent
