Joan Richmond

Joan Richmond

We are sad to hear that Joan Richmond, the brave girl who arrived here before the war to compete in a Monte Carlo Rally and who then stayed to drive Triumph and other cars, including Robert Waddy’s fierce ‘Fuzzi’ in rallies and races, has died in her native Australia. One of her most memorable races was that 1932 JCC 1000 miles two-day Brooklands contest in which she shared a Riley with Mrs Elsie Wisdom — they beat all the men.
