Blistering Jaguar

Le Mans winner Richard Attwood and present-day historic-racing star Gary Pearson won the second Groveair/Autosport Three-Hour sportscar race at Snetterton on 7 October, taking David Pennell’s Lister-Jaguar into the lead during the first hour and finishing two laps clear of their closest challenger. David Piper’s Ferrari 250LM, driven by Chris Strakosch and Ross Hyett, lost second place when a rear wheel came off three laps from the end, handing the place to the Belgian-entered Porsche 911 of Guy Pirenne/Jean-Claude Parmentier with the Piper/Strakosch Ferrari 330P third.
