Rare Service

Rare Service

In May 1983, I purchased a 1977 Porsche 911 and with a regard to the possible cost of repairs, decided to take out a Mechanical Breakdown Insurance Policy with Automotive Insurance Brokers (AIB) Ltd, of 45 Boroughgate, 01ley, West Yorkshire. The vehicle recently developed an oil leak, which necessitated the removal of the engine to effect the repair, and hence the cost was re-claimable under the terms of my policy.

May I now take this opportunity tlf complimenting AIB Ltd, on the excellent manner in which this matter was handled. One telephone call resulted in an immediate agreement to proceed with the work up to a limit of £250, even though at this stage, the exact cause of the leak was not known. On removal of the engine, it was found that the cost of repairs would be in excess of the original limit, and a second telephone call was made, and again immediate agreement was given to proceed at the extra cost.

On completion of the repair, an invoice was forwarded to A113 Ltd, payment being made within two days of the despatch date of the invoice.

I therefore would be most grateful if you would publish this letter, as I feel that such a quality of service is sadly a rarity nowadays, and in making this request would give an assurance that I am in no way connected with AIB Ltd, neither am I in any way related to or acquainted with any member of their staff.
