Cave Carnet!

Cave Camel!

Following Mr J. Howell’s letter in the September issue of MOTOR SPORT, I can tell that one certainly also needs a ca’rnet when one wants to take one’s English ear to England to race — or any other car for that matter. So one of my friends found out when he wanted to take his Morgan to England to race this Summer.

My sister works in the office in Copenhagen that issues these carnets and tells me that no percentage of the value of the car is needed — in the instance of racing cars. But the carnet costs upwards of £40 — which seems an expensive may of speeding things up at the customs. Rungsted Kyst, H. SCHOU-NIELSEN Denmark
