Left, driving a highly modified Ralt the dedicated Barzilian Nelson Piquet took an easy overall victory in the BP Formula 3 series. Bottom left, Richard Longman won the Tricentrol British Saloon Car Championship in his Mini GT. Bottom right, the newly introduced Porsche 924 series produced exciting racing with Tony Dron (pictured) well to the fore.
