V-E-V Miscellany, November 1972, November 1972
V-E-V Miscellany.—Was the vintage Renault with what appeared to be a drop-head body, which was being towed on its back wheels along the M40 on the evening of September 25th, a straggler from the Booker display or a newly-unearthed 8.3 or 9/15 model which has found a restorer? Total Times recently illustrated a very early Model-C Ford in the showrooms of Manchester Garages, which has been a Ford Dealership ever since it opened in 1921. A Calthorpe radiator has been seen in the window of a Welsh junk-shop. The July/August issue of Bulb Horn, journal of the VCC of America, contained an article on early proprietary windscreens as sold in America in 1912 and an account of restoring and using a 1928 Auburn Model 115 boat-tailed Speedster. Someone needs advice on how to build a body on a 1937 Rover 14 chassis which is being restored, which has already had two years’ hard work spent on it.
