Fiat tuners
Fiat tuners don’t abound in Britain so I was very interested in two Standard House visitors who called to tell us of their activities recently. The company name is Equipe d’Orr and a Mr. James Orr runs it from premises at Moorlands Road, Malvern, Worcestershire (Tel. Malvern 3736). Service, conversions and routine or “custom” bodywork (for the Fiat marque only) are executed by Michael Hartman. Now established for 1½ years, Equipe d’Orr manufacture their own exhaust and inlet manifolds, though their speciality is uprating a particular model along the lines already proven by the manufacturers from Turin.
Current conversion work includes a manifold for the twin cam engine to take a pair of Weber 40 DCOEs (I think I recall the distributor got in the way on the 124 coupés) and a 650 cc. version of the faithful 500. Labour charges are £2 per hour an Mr. Orr insists that they definitely will not haggle!
