Desert runabouts

Sir,
Vintage cars, vintage motorcycles, vintage commercial vehicles—all have their devotees and rallies. But what happens to vintage military vehicles, when the Army has no further use for them? The enclosed photograph of a Model-T Ford is one of some hundreds that my father took with his Kodak No. 1a Autographic during the Mesopotamian campaign of 1918; I wonder whether any of these handy little desert runabouts are still extant?
