The car comes second...?

I read with interest the letter from Mrs. Carey in the September issue. Also page 647 of the August issue.

On August 18th last I was unfortunate enough to have a rear torsion bar break on my VW. As I live very near the main Surrey VW agents I was not unduly concerned. The car was put in for repair on Monday 19th. I was unable to collect the car until Wednesday 28th, due only to the fact that the VW agent did not have a torsion bar in stock, and apparently were unable to obtain one. Surely VW Head Office should withdraw these misleading claims so widely advertised until they can live up to them.
