TV's Rider back in the BTCC
Veteran TV anchorman Steve Rider will return to the British Touring Car Championship this year to front ITV’s expanded coverage.
Rider, who previously hosted the channel’s Formula 1 show, returns to the series in which he played a key role with the BBC during the BTCC’s heyday in the 1990s. He will be joined by ITV’s ex-F1 pitlane reporter Louise Goodman.
ITV will broadcast over 100 hours of BTCC action and over six hours of race day transmission on ITV4.
The sole works team, Vauxhall’s VX Racing, heads the 21 entries. Fabrizio Giovanardi is bidding to become the first driver since Andy Rouse to win three straight titles.
