Double Twelve is put on ice

Mercedes-Benz has decided not to run the Double Twelve Brooklands Motoring Festival this year, citing the economic climate as a reason not to repeat the successful 2008 event. Organisers have put the event on ice, with a plan to bring it back once the global economy is stronger.

“The Double Twelve is not immune from the global economic downturn, and we took the tough decision to postpone the event for this year,” said Allan Winn, director of the Brooklands Museum.
