Bronson to Cooper

Seasoned historic sportscar racer Julian Bronson will make his first major foray into single-seaters this season with the ex-Anthony Ditheridge Cooper T53.

While his mighty Lister-Chevrolet sportscar is based in the US for a programme of summer races, Bronson will campaign the 2.7 Tasman-engined car in VSCC and HGPCA events, both in the UK and continental Europe.

“I’ve not done much single-seater racing before.” admitted the Bristol-based racer, “but it’s going to be an exciting season.” The T53 will put Bronson into direct competition with his friend Barry Cannell, who runs a 2.5-litre T53 in a similar programme.
