Oval anniversary at Rockingham

Rockingham Circuit and the MG Car Club have combined to celebrate great British sportscars, and the anniversary of the venue’s official opening. Although a lower-key event than the Coys-supported festival of 2001, the event is expected to attract up to 450 competitors.

The May 25/26 British Sports Car Weekend features 16 races, including rounds of national championships for MGs, Austin-Healeys, Morgans, Triumphs and Jaguars. Off track there’ll be car parks for each of the marques in conjunction with the owners’ clubs, while the MG Lola Le Mans car will be demonstrated on the oval circuit.

After the last race on Saturday, the first 250 applicants will be able to drive around the oval in their own cars.
